Finally

Well Last night was my last night on night shift and boy am I relieved! I don't think I could take much more. Hopefully with this day schedule I'll have even more consistency. Although....having to get up at 4-430am to be at work at 530am isn't going to be easy initially. But I'll get into a rhythm I'm sure. I also turned on my twitter! So I will feel connected to the world once again. I had set it so that I wouldn't receive any updates during the day, since I was sleeping. I'm going to pick up my sister this weekend. She lives 2 hours away and I haven't seen her since I dropped her off in Greenville when school started. She's in college there and lives in a house with two other girls. I don't like to talk about it. :-) Over protective I know but you wouldn't want it any other way. :-) Really that's about it. Nothing to exciting. I plan to play drums today since I haven't been able to do that as much as I want lately, and go hang with a friend. His birthday is this weekend and I'm trying my hardest to get him to tell me where he wants to go eat for his big bday dinner. We normally go to Tony Roma's, but it closed, so uh...we'll see how that goes. Stay tuned!

Long time no see

Well it's rather apparent that I've fallen off the face of the world. My last post was in like Febuary. Wow, So there is so much to update, and to be honest I really dont feel like typing it all out for you. Sorry. The important thing is that I'm doing well. I love my job. I'm in the Air Force for those of you that forgot. :-) I've been able to do some pretty cool and important things. The last six months have been hard though. It seems that when it rains, it pours. And thats okay. I remain positive and encouraged. My house still has not sold and I believe that it is the bain of my existance. j/k I'm sure it will sell soon. I have been on nights for that last 3 months so as I sit here and write it's 2am. woo woo! I know right. I have to work tomorrow night, but I go back to days next week. Which will be really good, some what of a normal schedule. I'm still playing drums as much as possible. With my ipod of course. I dont have as much time as i would like considering that my work week has changed considerably over that last two months. I work Sunday though thursday, 12 hour days. Wednesday is more like 6 to 8 hours, but still. So I look forward to my weekends. I miss SRC so much! The people, the word and of course drums! Viva Groupa Mangera! Well I promise that I am going to try and be more consistant. Even though I am working a ton, I seem to have found a routine. I hope this finds all of you well. Have a great Sunday!

I know! I know! I know!

Ok, so I understand that i havent blogged in forever, and im sorry. But im here now..and all can be well with the world. According to Bethany, I was at the bottom of her list....which is a really long list by the way. So now im at the top..for a while at least! ;o) So things are going well with me. Work is kicking my butt big time. Nights are so hard to work. I work 12 hour shifts, from 7pm to 7am! Its rough, but i cant complain really. I have a good job, and a steady income, and during these hard times that is a big deal.

So there is something that i wanted to share with you. I hope it makes you laugh. I laugh every time i see it. Let me first preface the rest of this post. In no way am i trying to be mean, belittle, put down or any kind of negative connotation that might be associated with what im about to talk about. I just get a kick out of it, pure and simple. So if you are offended please dont be, it is not my intention.

So of the many games Tara and I play there is one that always makes me laugh, and it is the hardest of them all. Its called "find the longest most boisterous church name that you can find. Things such as "Deliverance Holiness Zion" or Tbernacle free will of God Church" Those are just examples. Although there are certain aspects of the church name that make them worthy of recognition. Things like the length of the name..the longer the better, and to be really good it must contain, Tabernacle, or Deliverance.

Well we hit the mother load. Its a church called...."Born Again Free Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God The Apostle's Faith Inc." They have a website as well www.bornagainfree.com

I laughed for days..i'm still laughing! Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed it as much as i did! So the next time you are out and about, see what you can find!

A Change of Pace

I'm here, Langley AFB... I arrived her on the 29th of December and I checked in on the 30th. I've been "off" for the last 6 days. But I haven't been sitting around doing nothing, I was looking for a place to live. I finally found a place. Which I thought was never going to happen. So am greatly relieved. Oh and as I write this a F-22 Raptor is taking off. Its pretty amazing if you've never seen it before. Anyway, I go into work tomorrow and Friday, then i have a class for first term airman on Monday. So that will be loads of fun! I just realized that it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm not i promise. I'm just tired from looking for a place to live and living out of a hotel.

That being said, I spent the last 2 nights hanging out with my brother. He lives about 25 minutes away. And its really nice to be close to him. It's been something like 13 years since we've lived this close to each other. So I hope we get to spend more time together. Last night we jammed. Much like myself, he's an aspiring drummer (I'm better though, but don't tell him I said that. it'll be our little secret). So he has a small jazz kit that's a lot of fun to play. He's is a piano player but he loves to play other instruments like the guitar and banjo. So I played drums and he played the guitar. Good times! We did record some stuff the other day, I'll see what i can do about getting it on here, but don't hold your breathe it may be awhile.

Well that is a ton of info, so digest it and i will try to update you guys in a couple of days, or if something exciting happens. Here are some pictures of Naaman (my hermano)and me from Christmas.

Like kids in a candy store!

Thumbs up for brothers! Or as my people would say in their native tongue, "mi hermono"

Where's Arnie?

I knew exactly what to get him for Christmas!

What can I say, He out did me this year!
